Gill Thorpe Participates

In London Charity Walk

Gill Thorpe, CEO UK-based distributor

The Sourcing Team

(UPIC: SOUR0004), brought together a group of friends to par-

ticipate in the Moonwalk London 2015 on May 16 in support of

Walk the Walk, a grant-making breast cancer charity. “Treasured

Chest” raised £5,275.98, while the Moondwalk London 2015

generated more than £2,576,895 for Walk the Walk.

Thorpe’s team, “Treasured Chest,” joined more than 15,000 partic-

ipants in the night-time walk, which crossed 26.2 miles of London.

PPAI Hosts The Allen Company

In June, Stan W.A. Dohan, MAS (second from right), president

The Allen Company

(UPIC: ALLEN) in Blanchester,

Ohio, visited PPAI headquarters in Irving, Texas. During his

visit, Dohan met with PPAI staff and leadership to share

insights on his company, perspectives on the industry and

information to help staff better understand his company

model. The group also discussed opportunities in which the

supplier and PPAI can work together.

of Sunoco secured a Gold Pyramid Award in the Political and

Legislative Programs category for the companies’ collaboration.

The category celebrates programs designed to stimulate aware-

ness, participation, or donations related to elections, awareness

campaigns, petitioning, political action committees, or lobbying

activities in local, state or national political arenas.

(NABPAC) luncheon on May 12, Jonathan

Tennant, MAS, vice president of sales for distributor Pure

Logo, Inc. (UPIC: P620391), presented Ryan Schnepp of

Sunoco/Energy Transfer Partners, his client, a PPAI Gold

Pyramid award in recognition of the work they collaborated on

in recognition of the work of Pure Logo and its client Sunoco in

developing materials for Energy Transfer’s membership drive.

Sunoco is a member of NABPAC.

PPAI’s Pyramid Awards recognize the outstanding, creative

use of promotional products in the client programs and cam-

paigns of distributor members and industry regional associa-

tions. Their creativity and ingenuity is honored each year at an

awards presentation and reception held during The PPAI Expo.
