HPPA Hosts Fifth Annual Cool

Stuff End-Buyer Show

The

Houston Promotional Products Association

held its

fifth annual Cool Stuff End-Buyer Show on April 17. This year’s

event was held at Crowne Plaza NW in Houston, Texas.

More than 80 distributors and 290 end buyers attended the

HPPA Cool Stuff End-Buyer Show on April 17, where they met

with 75 exhibitors on the show floor.

SELCO Celebrates 80th

Anniversary

Tulsa, Oklahoma-based supplier

SELCO

(UPIC: SELCO) is

celebrating its 80th year in business. The third-generation,

family-owned company started in 1935 as a retail jewelry

store. It shifted its focus to watch customization in 1980 and

merged its 50 retail stores into a division of Zales

Corporation. The supplier is currently led by President and

CEO Mark Abels, MAS, and his father, Chairman of the

Board Larry Abels.

PPAI Employees Donate More

Than 4,800 Pounds Of Food

In April

PPAI

employees donated more than 4,800 pounds of food

along with money in April in support of the Irving Cares

Summer Squeeze Food Drive Challenge. Irving Cares is a

United Way-supported agency dedicated to providing Irving,

Texas residents with temporary assistance and training to pro-

mote self-sufficiency. The Association, headquartered in the city

for more than 30 years, has supported Irving Cares since 2003.

PPAI staff purchased and donated more than 4,800 pounds of

food for the local food bank, Irving Cares, bringing the

Association’s total donation to the food pantry to more than

30,000 pounds of food since 2003.
