Target audience:

The target audience consisted of more than

500 originators from across the U.S. for top achievement in sales.

Timing:

Feb.13-16, 2014 at the Arizona Biltmore, a classic

1929 resort featuring architecture and interior design inspired by

Frank Lloyd Wright

Primary objective:

The goal was to create an annual sales

incentive program with room gifts over three nights that were

unique, memorable and creative. Some of the attendees had

been to the venue previously. The client challenged AIA to make

each gift unforgettable and honor those who most contributed to

the company’s growth.

Total program cost (including promotional products,

media, printing, packaging, etc.):

$600,000-plus

Strategy and execution:

The theme, “Destination Oasis,”

was created to focus on three days of luxury and relaxation for

winners and their guests. Items were centered on the reputation

and exclusivity of the Arizona Biltmore, which is casually elegant

with uncompromising standards and traditions. The program

began with a website that included the criteria and tracked the

potential winner’s progress. Every item selected was relevant to

the day’s activities, enhanced the overall experience and featured

a different theme: Spirit of the Southwest, Desert Evening Under

The stars and Art Deco Glamour. Products were packaged on-site

following the theme colors. Prior to departure each recipient also

received a custom white document holder with airline tickets,

luggage tags, agenda, etc.

Results:

The event achieved a 63-percent ROI for the client,

and the distributor won the client’s 2015 incentive program busi-

ness and solidified its relationship with the organization’s execu-

tive committee during the event.

Products used:

Two-tone jackets, lambswool throw, multi-

game set, bamboo telescopic fork, s’mores kit, power bank,

AC/DC iPad power adapter charger, Neoprene bag, headset,

Lucite magnetic frame and presentation folder.
