IN MEMORIAM

Harold Holland

, founder of

Art-Mold Products Company

and a former member of the

PPAI board, passed away on

March 27 in Rancho Mirage,

California. He was 85.

Holland served in the U.S.

Navy during the Korean War and

when he returned home, he and

his brother Julian founded Art-

Mold in Cranston,

Rhode Island. When

that company was later

acquired, Holland

became one of the

four partners behind

Measured Marketing

Services, Inc., a pro-

motional products

manufacturer, and

direct mail and marketing firm in

Los Angeles, California. He sat on

the company’s board of directors

and opened Measured Marketing

Services International in Grasse,

France. Holland also served on

the board of directors of

Norwood Promotional Products.

He was a member of the PPAI

(then Specialty Advertising

Association International) board

of directors from 1972-1976, and

was named one of the 50 most

influential people in the industry

by

Counselor

magazine.

Holland’s hobbies included

golf, traveling and cruising. He

played at and participated in a

number of golf clubs, most

recently at Morningside Country

Club in Rancho Mirage, where

he served on and chaired several

committees, and was a member

of the board of direc-

tors. Holland volun-

teered at the

Eisenhower Medical

Center, serving on

fund-raising commit-

tees and the EMC

Foundation Board of

Governors.

Holland is sur-

vived by his wife, Helene, his

three children: Evan and his

wife, Neesa; Gary and his wife,

Autumn, and Judi; and grand-

children, Aaron and Rachel.

Funeral services, burial and

shiva were held in Rancho

Mirage. In lieu of flowers, the

family suggests donations be

made to Eisenhower Medical

Center or to any charity of

choice.
