Expo East returns to Atlantic City, New Jersey, and the

Atlantic City Convention Center at a new time of year: March

12-15, 2015, bringing The PPAI Expo show experience to the

East Coast. A collaboration between PPAI and the Specialty

Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY), this

year Expo East will co-locate with the Imprinted Sportswear

Show (ISS), the largest trade show dedicated to the decorated

apparel industry.

Alongside the trade show and networking opportunities

that attendees have come to expect, Expo East will offer exten-

sive education and training for show atten-

dees. In a keynote luncheon on Thursday,

March 12, Christina “CK” Kerley, speaker,

trainer and strategist, shines a light on the

smart revolution of the “Internet of Things”

and how it will play into a new era of pro-

motional products. Increasingly, everyday

objects are being built with computing,

connectivity, sensors and “smarts” baked

in. Kerley’s session looks at the place these

products have a place in suppliers and dis-

tributors’ portfolios and what it can mean for their bottom line.

Jeffrey Gitomer,

New York Times

-bestselling author and

sales authority, will be the featured speaker during Expo

East’s Keynote & Cocktail session on

Friday, March 13. Drawing on some of

the lessons featured in his books—

The

Sales Bible

,

The Little Red Book of

Selling

,

The Little Black Book of

Connections

and

The Little Gold Book

of YES! Attitude

—Gitomer’s session,

“Sales Attraction,” focuses on proven

steps to make easier, faster and bigger

sales. In finding ways to differentiate

themselves from their competition, indus-

try practitioners can elevate themselves from sales person to

trusted advisor.

Expo East also features 36 sessions across seven education

tracks—Business Management, Product Responsibility, Industry

Essentials, Marketing & Advertising, Decorate, Sales & Service

and Technology. Expo East’s education workshops begin on

Thursday, March 12, the day before the exhibit floor opens,

and continue throughout the show.

Exhibitors, Sponsors And Advertisers Must Attain Product Safety

Aware Status By Expo East 2015

ONLY A FEW WEEKS REMAIN to attain

Product Safety Aware status ahead of Expo East

2015. The Association’s Product Safety

Awareness (PSA) Program, introduced during

The PPAI Expo 2014’s General Session, is

designed to foster an industry-wide commit-

ment and culture where companies are not

only aware of product safety but engaged in

the discussion.

As part of the PSA program, every member

company wanting to gain access to the PPAI

marketplace—as a sponsor, advertiser, trade-

show exhibitor, etc.—regardless of membership

category, is required to complete a minimum

of four hours of product safety education no

later than the start of Expo East 2015.

For a company to attain the Product Safety

Aware status, it must designate a roster

employee to serve as a Product Safety

Ambassador. The employee must complete

four hours of product safety education in these

required programs:

• Product Safety Basics

• Prop 65 and State Regulations

• Undue Influence Training

The employee can also select any addition-

al webinar from an approved list or any live

program that is listed as a qualified training.

These include:

• Hazard Identification

• FDA Personal Care Items

• FDA Drinkware and Tableware

• Focus on Apparel Decoration
