PPAI Staff Help 30-40 Local

Families At Thanksgiving

PPAI

staff, organized through the Association’s Community

Services Committee, turned out in November to help feed

local families this Thanksgiving. Staff collected more than

600 pounds of food and ingredients for traditional

Thanksgiving meals, as well as $170 in cash and $300 in gift

cards. PPAI worked with Irving Cares, a local food pantry,

for the holiday food drive. The Association has supported

Irving Cares since 2003 and in that time has donated more

than 26,000 pounds of goods to benefit hungry families in

the community.

In October, PPAI Product Responsibility Manager

Tim Brown,

MAS

, traveled to Pewaukee and Green Bay, Wisconsin, to

speak with members of PPAW on product safety and help their

companies achieve Product Safety Aware status.

PPAI Staff Join Regional

Associations For Product Safety

Education

PPAI

staff have been on the road, delivering the Association’s

Product Safety Awareness (PSA) program to industry regional

associations, and updating and educating their members on

the latest product safety and regulatory news. In October, PPAI

Product Responsibility Manager Tim Brown, MAS, joined the

Promotional Products Association of Wisconsin (PPAW) for

lunch-and-learn sessions on the PSA program in Pewaukee and

Green Bay. Afterwards, he headed west and met with the

Promotional Marketing Association of Northern California

(PMANC) and the Specialty Advertising Association of

California (SAAC) in October.

Brown joined SAAC and its members in October to deliver the

education necessary for their companies to achieve Product

Safety Aware status.
