Perfect Promo Stitching Legacy Into Every Thread Powers Union Anniversary Campaign Discover how Ironworkers Local 786 used custom-branded apparel to drive recruitment and celebrate a milestone anniversary. To commemorate the 65th anniversary of Ironworkers Local 786 in Sudbury, Ontario, and honor the rich history of the union and its 400 members, the group turned to IICON Creative Strategies (PPAI 531028, Standard-Base) to produce celebratory apparel that reflected the strong image of the union. A custom-designed logo was applied across a collection of commemorative items, including premium lightweight technical jackets and made-in-Canada T-shirts. The tees featured the logo on the front and a full-back print of the Ironworkers Charter, while the jackets included personalized sleeve embroidery for the executive team. Black mesh-back trucker hats with laser-engraved patches completed the set. Items were distributed at union hall meetings to members and executives and were also made available for purchase through the union’s online store. The strategy proved effective. Meeting attendance increased by 20%, and the visibility of the gear in the community sparked interest in the union. Of the inquiries received, 30% led to new apprentices enrolling in the training program, helping to strengthen the union’s future while honoring its past. 112 • SEPTEMBER 2025 • PPAI
