Community | PPPC Communiqué AS TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TO RISE, Promotional Product Professionals of Canada is in full swing to welcome members back to the greens for its annual chapter golf tournaments. A member favourite, these events are more than just a few rounds on lush fairways – they’re one of the most anticipated gatherings of the summer. For an industry that works hard year-round, these tournaments serve as the ultimate blend of business, camaraderie and classic summer fun with a dash of healthy competition. All golfer levels are welcomed. It’s the perfect way for suppliers, multi-line representatives and distributors to reconnect after a long winter and short spring, all while trying for bragworthy shots on each hole. The PPPC Quebec Chapter Golf Tournament officially kicks off on June 3 at noon at the prestigious Club de Golf de l’Île de Montréal in Montreal, Quebec. Known for its pristine greens and welcoming atmosphere, this 18-hole course provides the ideal opportunity for members to show off their golf skills by enabling members to vie for some prizes, including closest to the pin and longest drive. Following the last putt of the day, members will head over to the clubhouse for dinner, drinks and an evening of networking. Next is the PPPC Ontario Chapter Golf Tournament at Piper Heath’s Golf Club in Milton, Ontario, on June 25, featuring a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Piper Heath is a new course for members, who will receive a golfer’s gift valued at $100 Canadian if they purchase the full golf and dinner package. Following the last round, members will head over to the clubhouse to toast the day, enjoy dinner and network. All participants in this year’s golf tournaments must register before the events and also select and pay for either the foursome or solo package for golf only, golf and dinner or the dinner and networkingonly package for non-golfers. PPPC’s annual chapter golf tournaments are more than just a game. They’re a celebration of the community spirit that defines PPPC. These tournaments underscore the value of inperson connection during an increasingly busy time for all. Whether members are swinging for birdies or just enjoying the breeze, the tournaments are a highlight of the summer calendar in the Canadian promotional products industry.
