PROMOTIONAL PRODUCT PROFESSIONALS OF CANADA is launching its 2025 PPPC Awards Season this month, recognizing excellence in the Canadian promotional products industry. This annual celebration of innovation, dedication and excellence brings the promotional products community together to honor outstanding achievements across multiple categories. Now in its 44th year, the PPPC Awards include product awards, the Hall of Fame, Humanitarian and Momentum awards and the member-voted supplier and distributor of the year. The “Made in Canada” category will likely prove to be popular this awards season amid all the tariff turmoil. The PPPC Product Awards are designed to highlight distributor and supplier members’ most creative and effective promotional campaigns and merch of the year. These awards celebrate the ingenuity and innovation of members while showcasing products, services and campaigns that took center stage in 2024 and delivered maximum impact for clients. Last year, the PPPC Awards Task Force revamped the PPPC Product Awards, which originally consisted of 21 categories for suppliers and distributors and streamlined it to seven for each group for a total of 14 product award categories. The goal was to modernize the categories and make the entry process easier. This proved to be a positive exercise, as entries for the product increased year-over-year by more than 60%. Several speciality awards recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the industry and beyond. Among these prestigious honours are the Hall of Fame Award, which celebrates lifelong dedication and influence within the industry, and the Humanitarian Award, given to a professional who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to charitable initiatives and social responsibility. Additionally, the Momentum Awards recognize emerging professionals (i.e., Rising Stars) who are shaping the future of the industry with fresh ideas and leadership. PPPC members also have the opportunity to vote for their peers. The Supplier of the Year and Distributor of the Year awards recognize companies that have demonstrated exceptional service, innovation and business growth. Inspiring The Next Generation Winning a PPPC Award not only brings prestige and credibility but also strengthens business relationships and provides industry-wide recognition. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a rising star, this is an ideal opportunity to showcase achievements and inspire the next generation of promo industry leaders. • PPPC encourages all members to participate, whether by submitting their best work, nominating deserving individuals or casting their votes for the industry’s top performers. • All award categories will close by the end of June and then be subject to judging or tallying. The product and speciality awards will be judged by a panel of specially selected peers. For example, the Hall of Fame nominations will be judged by a panel of Hall of Fame inductees, including this year’s Hall of Fame Judging Committee Chair, David Lewenberg of Genumark, last year’s Hall of Fame winner. The top four finalists in the product awards and member-voted awards will be notified in mid-to-end of July. Specialty award winners will be notified confidentially and in advance of the live awards ceremony in September during PPPC’s National Convention (NATCON). All winners will be officially announced during the PPPC Awards Ceremony on September 9 at the Clubhouse at the Royal Woodbine Golf Club in Toronto. Prior to the ceremony, attendees are invited to participate in a cocktail reception. Following the ceremony and to celebrate the winners, attendees will head upstairs from for the official after-party, a free event. Registration details will be shared with members later this≈summer. The golden award trophies and plaques handed out each year to the winners are sourced from PPPC member SRG (formerly St Regis). Citizen Watch Canada also donates stylish watches to the Momentum Winners each year as a memento for their win.
