SPONSORED CONTENT Office Beacon’s Global Success Story With offices in the U.S., India, The Philippines and South Africa, the outsourcing provider has expanded to give promo businesses what they need to succeed. FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS, Office Beacon (PPAI 255089) has been the promo industry’s partner and collaborator. This relationship has fueled international growth as the company expanded its footprint across continents and its outsourcing services have helped promo businesses grow to their full potential. “Do you know the saying, ‘Be the best at one thing?’,” asks Pranav Dalal, Office Beacon’s founder and CEO. “Working with our clients over the last 24 years, the thing we’re best at is talent management. It’s working with people and skill sets and how we serve our clients. That’s the focus of our whole process and how we manage everything from recruiting and onboarding talent, training and the lifecycle of our client relationships.” Office Beacon launched at a rocky moment in history, just days before 9/11. Dalal knew that the best way to get past a difficult time was to keep going, so to get his company off the ground, he flew from Los Angeles to India. In the town where his parents grew up, he rented an office, bought some computers and hired his first five employees. One of his earliest clients was Torontobased supplier Aware Marketing. Its owner Craig Moran was Dalal’s introduction to the merch business, providing a crash course on the value that Office Beacon could bring to suppliers. The relationship took off, and when Aware Marketing was acquired by Leed’s a few years later, both businesses benefited. “From there, it was like a steamroller,” Dalal says. “A lot of other suppliers found out about us and jumped on board.” Office Beacon has grown by providing businesses what they need to succeed in competitive markets. “Companies are looking for ways to provide the high levels of service and experience that their customers are looking for, cost-effectively,” Dalal says. “Our customers trust us to deliver with quality. “The promotional products industry is very disruptive. When something new comes in and it’s successful, it’s adopted very quickly. People are open to fresh ideas because they’re always looking for that competitive advantage.” As time passed, Office Beacon seized its own opportunities through international expansion. Ten years after it launched, a new door opened in The Philippines. National Pen was looking for someone to take over its operation there, and despite having never been to the country, Dalal knew this was the right move. The Philippines provided a talent base to expand further, particularly with promo distributors. “When I first landed in The Philippines, it was just an instant feeling – I knew we had to be here,” Dalal says. “We had a base ready for us and a customer lined up. We took over and grew from there.” More recently, Office Beacon expanded into South Africa, a hub for highly skilled, fluent English speaking professionals. Distributors and suppliers have long been asking for agents that can be fully customer facing, and South Africa perfectly fits this need. No matter the client challenge, Office Beacon finds that solutions exist somewhere. From those early days in India to new operations around the world, the company continues to grow – bringing fresh capabilities and new opportunities to promo leaders looking to scale smarter.
