Community | PPPC Communiqué PPPC Members Enjoy Sweet Escape During The PPAI Expo 2025 PPPC’s annual Exclusive Member Event in Las Vegas blended networking with desserts, drinks and relaxation. By Margaret Williamson Batuszkin THE PROMOTIONAL PRODUCT PROFESSIONALS OF CANADA left behind some frosty temperatures, heading south of the border to Las Vegas to host its annual Exclusive Member Event during The PPAI Expo 2025. The event was held at the Border Grill at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort and provided a sweet escape to members following the first day of the largest and longest-running trade show in the branded merchandise industry. Themed the Cabana à Sucre (The Sugar Shack), the event provided churros drizzled with maple syrup, a Canadian delicacy. Members were also offered a complimentary drink and some other delicious snacks to refuel, recharge and energize before heading out to the myriad social activities happening during The PPAI Expo. The event was supported by PPPC’s strategic partners, PPAI and SAGE. More than 200 PPPC members attended, reconnecting with fellow members and meeting new ones, sharing stories of the day and toasting the start of a new year. The Border Grill’s outdoor patio provided the perfect backdrop for the night, complete with twinkle lights and a relaxing ambiance. Product sponsors provided PPPC-logoed and Canadianinspired merch as takeaways for guests, including handpoured soy maple candles from Botanical PaperWorks, a buffalo plaid aviator hat from Tough Duck and cottage plaid throws from Kanata Blanket. HPG provided fun Taylor Swift-inspired friendship bracelets with Canadianthemed sayings such as “Double Double” (if you know Tim Horton’s, you know), “Don’t be a Hoser” (Bob and Doug McKenzie), “eh?” and “Sorry!” The bracelets were handed out at the PPPC booth on the show floor during The PPAI Expo. During The PPAI Expo 2025, PPPC staff were available at the booth to provide members with information on their membership, including benefits and what’s on tap for 2025 for PPPC and its members. Staff also liaised with international promo pros and provided valuable insight into the Canadian market and the association. PPPC members departed Las Vegas energized by the connections made, ideas shared and opportunities identified during The PPAI Expo 2025. PPPC is reminding members to mark their calendars for next year’s Exclusive Member Event at The PPAI Expo on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., again at the Border Grill, Mandalay Bay.
