Perfect Promo Seeds Of Support Find out how a distributor collaborated with an organization providing support services to women and girls to develop a special gift to be sold at its thrift store to raise money and awareness. Ontario-based IICON Creative Strategies (PPAI 531028, StandardPlus) developed a special gift to be sold at the YW Kitchener-Waterloo thrift store to help support the organization’s services for women and girls. The IICON team suggested seed paper products to appeal to the store’s main clientele: women ages 25-45 looking for bargains and low price points. The YWKW staff were charmed by the Sprouting Kits – made by Botanical PaperWorks (PPAI 674278, Standard-Base), a woman-owned company in Canada – which included a plantable pot, peat moss and seeds indigenous to the Ontario region, as well as a plantable seed paper wrap label that was to be custom-printed with the organizations’ message and branding. IICON and the program directors asked participants to create drawings inspired by the theme “In Her Shoes” that incorporated a shoe and flowers or herbs from the sprouting kits. One of these colorful designs was selected and imprinted on the seed paper label, along with information about YWKW.
