By Margaret Williamson Batuszkin PROMOTIONAL PRODUCT PROFESSIONALS of Canada is getting into the swing of things with its annual Chapter Golf Tournaments happening across Canada (in Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec) this summer. These tournaments are a summer favourite among members as they gather, hit the greens and enjoy a bit of healthy competition. The Ontario Chapter Golf Tournament tees off on June 6 at the 18-hole Royal Ontario Golf Club course at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start, where all members start at the same time on different holes. On June 12, the Manitoba Chapter Golf Tournament starts at 1:30 p.m. at The Players Course, a top nine-hole golf course in Winnipeg. The Quebec Chapter Golf Tournament on June 27 is set for the Club de Golf de l’Île de Montréal. This tourney officially marks the end of the PPPC’s 2024 golf tournament season. All golfers are welcome to participate in these member events, which provide a great chance to join in the fun and enjoy the scenic views offered by each course. After completing play on the course, members head back to the clubhouse to enjoy a delicious dinner and conversation. Non-golfers are also invited to come out for dinner and enjoy some networking with fellow members. PPPC members embrace these chapter golf events as the official start of summer and a great opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air while connecting, talking shop and vying for prizes for the longest drive, putting and closest to the pin. Prizes are donated by sponsors and various members. The event sponsor for this year’s tournaments is SAGE. PCNA is the national hole sponsor, and St Regis is sponsoring a hole for the Ontario tournament. Chapter events are valued by PPPC as a great way to bring members together in their hometowns and give them a chance to share experiences and knowledge while building community and camaraderie. It’s all about offering something fun and seasonal fore our members! Williamson Batuszkin is PPPC marketing and communications manager. PPAI • JUNE 2024 • 93
