Whether It’s Dunkin’ or Donuts’, It’s A Hit Dunkin’ followed up its wildly popular (and quickly sold-out) DunKings gear with an April Fools’ Day drop featuring a “temporary rebrand” to DONUTS’, emblazoned on four crewneck sweatshirts in beige, white and the brand’s signature pink – which, naturally, sold out within hours. The limited launch also marked the reopening of the Dunkin’ merch shop online, which offers an assortment of hot pink and orange apparel, accessories and hard goods, from a cocktail shaker to a Halloween yard inflatable. 4. This Gross-out Drink Is For Real (At Least A Little Bit) Several food brands served up funky phony flavors that had social media buzzing on April Fools’ Day this year, from a “queso slush” by Sonic and Moe’s Southwestern Grill to sour cream and onion soda by Olipop and Pringles. These, of course, were never intended to be real products – but 7-Eleven and artsy beverage brand Miracle Seltzer actually canned and distributed a small quantity of “Big Bite Hot Dog Sparkling Water” – and suggested that more might be produced if fans demand it. The joke helped promote 7-Eleven’s actual new collection of sparkling water flavors created in partnership with Miracle Seltzer, which includes classics like lemon lime and green apple.
