PPPC gets ready to celebrate top achievers this fall with the annual PPPC Awards and Networking After-Party. By Margaret Williamson Batuszkin PPPC’S MOST ANTICIPATED social event of the year is just around the corner. The 2023 PPPC Awards Ceremony and Networking After-Party is happening on September 12, 2023, from 6-11 p.m. at the Royal Woodbine Golf Club’s Clubhouse and Vue venues in Toronto. PPPC has been working hard behind the scenes to make this year’s awards ceremony and afterparty even bigger than before. The event will be attended by members from across Canada, as it falls during PPPC’s national convention at the International Centre in Toronto. The awards are designed to recognize members that deliver the best promotional products and services over the past year in more than 30 award categories, including member-voted awards (i.e., supplier or distributor of the year), product awards, the 2023 Humanitarian Award, the 2023 Hall of Fame Award and the Momentum Awards. The premium PPPC award trophies, provided by St Regis Group, will be presented to the top supplier, multi-line rep, distributor member companies and staff who showed excellence over the past year. These companies and teams are voted best of the year in their category by fellow members and business associates across the PPPC membership. Only PPPC members are eligible, and members were able to submit, nominate and vote from mid-May until June 30. Awards are presented to members who submit their products for these peer-judged awards. Distributors vote for suppliers in the following categories: • Small Supplier • Medium Supplier • Large Supplier • Sales Representatives • Customer Service Representatives • Multi-Line Agency East • Multi-Line Agency Central • Multi-Line Agency West Suppliers and multi-line agencies vote for distributors for the following categories: • National Distributor • Large Distributor • Medium Distributor East • Medium Distributor Central • Medium Distributor West • Small Distributor East • Small Distributor Central • Small Distributor West Special awards include the 2023 Humanitarian Award, which originated in 2018 and is presented to individuals demonstrating the spirit of humanity through volunteer work, advocacy, leadership and philanthropic work in their community or around the world. Members are nominated by someone from within their organization for these awards. The Hall of Fame Award recognizes members who have contributed significantly to the industry, profession and service to the association and whose impact has been significant, substantial, long-standing and monumental. Outstanding contributions to the promotional product industry in Canada and the community include but are not limited to association involvement, personal/community involvement and achievements, company affiliations and other contributing factors.
