Back in 1992, searching for a way to protect his neck and head from the sun, wind and cold while riding through Barcelona’s countryside, our founder Joan Rojas drew upon the expertise and craftsmanship of his family textile mill to develop a singular piece of gear. He sketched and researched day after day until landing on the solution: a seamless microfiber tube. The company was founded in 1992, and the first batch of our iconic product hit the market under the brand name BUFF. It was a success with his family and friends, and Joan decided to continue along this path. What led your company to enter the promotional products market? We’ve been customizing our products for many years for marathons, races, tournaments and other sports events catering to our core user groups, including runners and cyclists, hikers and climbers, snowboarders and skiers. We entered the promotional products market to expand our client base and reach those outside our core audience with the aim of encouraging people to participate in outdoor sports and the lifestyle. We also saw the opportunity to offer an alternative to the typical office, drinkware, bags or apparel items. Something suitable for a large variety of companies and organizations looking for quality, brandedyet-innovative items. From resellers to fundraisers and corporate gifts to name a few. Most of our products can be printed all over the fabric, providing a perfect canvas for those looking to spread core values and messages. We offer sustainable, one-sizefits-all and versatile branded products that impact and provide a long-lasting impression to recipients. Why did you join PPAI? We’ve been doing custom projects in the U.S. for a long time. I’m pretty sure most people are familiar with the Survivor neck tube that we supply to the show season after season. But we’re growing our presence in the promotional products industry in the States. We are very clear that joining PPAI and exhibiting this year for the first time at The PPAI Expo would be a must. Also, becoming a member gets us in touch with distributors and reps in the industry that we can join on this exciting journey. We are keen to be part of this community!
