PPB December 2022

PPB Set For Rebranding And RelaunchWith January Issue In one of the most outwardly noticeable signs of the nonprofit trade association’s new mission to be the voice and force to advance the promotional products marketplace for the benefit of our community, PPAI has taken on a new look and feel over the course of 2022. The makeover has touched virtually all aspects of the Association, visually aligning it with PPAI’s bolstered Promotional Products Work initiative, meant to elevate the standing of the industry. Among the final pieces of the project is an upcoming rebranding, redesign and relaunch of Promotional Products Business magazine, or PPB. The publication will change its name to PPAI Magazine beginning with the January issue after nearly 30 years under its current title. Until 1993, it went to press as Specialty Advertising Business. “The new name and refreshed approach to the magazine’s content is the conclusion of a months-long project to improve cohesion between PPAI’s various content offerings, almost all of which have undergone changes this year,” Josh Ellis, publisher and editor-in-chief. Throughout 2022, the Association’s online content hub has evolved its visual presentation to reflect its elevated industry news and feature reporting, rebranding from PPAI Pubs to PPAI Media. In June, the PPB Newslink newsletter underwent a name change and redesign, becoming PPAI Newslink. In late November, the longstanding Promotional Consultant Today newsletter, aimed at aiding sales professionals, relaunched with enhanced content under a new brand, PPAI PromoPro Daily. Ellis says, “The new PPAI Magazine is clean and polished, reflecting the evolution of an industry that most agree has becomemore professional over the years. The pages will feature key voices that can help enhance your work and our industry’s standing even further. “PPAI’s vision is that promotional products are universally valued and essential to every brand. Likewise, we intend for our magazine to be universally valued and essential to every reader. I can’t wait to hear your feedback at The PPAI Expo 2023.” Publisher's Statement Statement required by act of August 12, 1970; Section 3685, Title 39, United States Code showing ownership, management and circulation of Promotional Products Business.
