PPAI MediaWelcomes ResearchManager Robert Fitzpatrick ToThe Team PPAI has added a new member to its staff and the PPAI Media team – in August, Robert Fitzpatrick joined the Association as research manager. He will be responsible for overseeing research on and for the industry to help suppliers and distributors make business decisions. In his new role, Fitzpatrick will conduct regular consumer studies and membership benchmarking, and administer Association surveys, like the Distributor Sales Volume study, among other projects. Fitzpatrick is a graduate of Colorado State University, Pueblo, and the graduate program at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, where he earned a masters degree in sociology. His background also includes time in insurance and real estate. While engaged in the insurance industry, Fitzpatrick worked to meet the needs of small businesses and individuals and developed lead generation systems and marketing campaigns. In real estate, he worked with buyers and sellers in Colorado and Texas. Fitzpatrick lives in Grand Prairie, Texas, a Dallas-area suburb, with his wife and daughter. When he has the time available, his interests include content creation, fishing, video games and cooking. He’s also an avid reader and enjoys signing up for random courses to expand his mind. Members interested in suggesting new research or benchmarking topics are encouraged to reach out to Fitzpatrick at RobertF@PPAI.org. Amy Weisman Robert Fitzpatrick Amy Weisman Joins PPAI In Account Coordinator Role Amy Weisman joined PPAI’s business development department this summer as account coordinator. In her role, Weisman will balance a number of wideranging responsibilities, frommanaging the advertising process for PPAI Media’s digital and print publications to processing contracts, booth placements and materials for tradeshows and events and much more. A fairly recent – but happily converted – Texan, Weisman moved to North Texas in 2016 from Eugene, Oregon, where she had worked at the vision machinery company Ventek International for 11 years. Since that time, she has filled business administration roles at Sally Beauty’s corporate headquarters, the University of North Texas and, most recently, at Veritas Roofing. The PPAI Expo 2023 is just around the corner in January, with preparation well underway, and Weisman is already immersed in daily and monthly marketing projects. “The position here at PPAI was a great mix of many pieces frommy previous work history and many new exciting responsibilities,” says Weisman, who knew the role was right for her once she met the PPAI staff and her team. “The stability of the team is very impressive and says a lot about the organization.” Weisman lives in Fort Worth. When she’s away from work, she loves to be with her family, as well as spend time outside. In the late summer and early fall seasons she is tending to her garden, and as the weather starts to become more pleasant, she’s likely to lace up her running shoes. Weisman usually runs a handful of organized 5k, 10k and 15k events every year. “The position here at PPAI was a great mix of many pieces frommy previous work history and many new exciting responsibilities.” —Amy Weisman 96 | OCTOBER 2022 | CONNECT
