by Jonathan Strauss PPPC COMMUNIQUÉ PPPC’s Hall of Fame , Humanitarian and Momentum Awards Now Accepting Nominations T he Promotional Product Professionals of Canada (PPPC) presented the member-voted awards for distributors, suppliers and MLRs at TOPS+ Virtual earlier this year. The Product Awards are currently being judged and will be presented at our virtual Holiday Showcase on October 7. Next up are the Humanitarian Award, the Momentum Award and the Hall of Fame Award. These awards were designed to recognize the individual heroes and innovators of our industry. Nominate the best of the best today. All three awards are currently accepting nominations. PPPC HALL OF FAME EST 1981 Hall Of Fame Award This prestigious award is given to a distinguished and established PPPC member individual. Nominees are judged on their contributions to the promotional products industry in Canada and in their respective communities. The winner of the Hall of Fame Award is chosen by considering the person’s: • Association involvement • Personal and community involvement and achievements • Company affiliations • Other contributing factors Eligibility: • Nominees must have been a PPPC member for at least 15 years • Current members of the PPPC Board of Directors are not eligible, and former members must have been off the board for at least four years before being nominated • The nominator must not be employed by the same company or affiliate as the candidate; there must be a period of four calendar years since the two were with the same company or affiliate The PPPC Hall of Fame is filled with prestigious members, all of whom have dedicated their professional lives to the betterment of the promotional products community. Humanitarian Award This honor is presented to one PPPC member individual who consistently demonstrates the spirit of humanity through volunteer work, advocacy, leadership and philanthropy in their community or around the world. This award celebrates the spirit of giving and allows us to show appreciation for those who care deeply about their community and line of work. Along with other achievements, a Humanitarian nominee should demonstrate the spirit of humanity in their community through charitable and/or philanthropic involvement. Humanitarian acts must have benefited people or groups outside of the nominee’s own company.
