Turtleson was founded by Greg Oakley and Chet Sikorski, two lifelong friends who also happened to be successful apparel industry veterans. In 2011, they set out to create a company that truly reflected their personalities: laidback, fun-loving and unpretentious. Their goal was to develop an apparel brand unsurpassed in quality, style and performance that could be easily tailored to fit their individual styles and pace of life, while equally adaptable to fit customers. In addition, they wanted to build something for the town where they grew up and continue to live: Bristol, Tennessee. Turtleson’s staff, decoration and distribution is all located in downtown Bristol. Turtleson is found at fine retailers, resorts and golf clubs in the U.S., UK, Europe and Australia. What led your company to enter the promotional products market? As the Turtleson brand continued to grow at retail and carry more recognition, they began to receive calls from customers asking if they serviced corporate sales. As those calls increased, they realized there was a business opportunity. Every decision made at Turtleson is intentional, and they understand that if you want to service a business properly, you need to do the homework. I was invited to lead and develop this sales channel.
