But after experiencing an increased demand in custom branding, in 2018 the company launched its corporate gifting program. “Over the years, the demand for custom branding has been overwhelming, but it took time to come up with a program that made sense for us,” says Stephanie, the company’s creative director. “We had perfected the process of mass kit production, with a domestic output of thousands of units per day, but now we had to do the reverse and process a minimum of 100 kits. To do both, we had to build a completely new business model, but it was informed by our decade of experience in retail.” Pinch now offers more than a dozen kits specifically designed for the promotional products industry, including tech, travel, meeting, golf, recovery, rest easy, moving, winter, summer, binge-watching, digital detox, wine, champagne, and, of course, a unisex Minimergency Kit. “There is something for everyone and we are just getting started,” says Stephanie. In early 2019, a new branding studio with several ink and foil stamping machines was added to the 21,000-square- foot manufacturing facility to allow for faster turnaround, underscoring the company’s message: “We give our customers and, in turn, yours, everything they need—in a pinch!” says Stephanie. The company is exhibiting at The PPAI Expo this month; its second time exhibiting at the show. PPB spoke with her to learn more about Pinch Provisions. PPB Who are your typical clients and what are the most popular types of projects that Pinch Provisions is involved in? Kaplan Since we launched our corporate gifting program in mid-2018, we’ve worked with a wide range of customers, from the most prominent in the tech and financial worlds to the smallest of businesses. I think even we were a little surprised at how quickly our customer roster has grown thanks, in part, to PPAI. But we aren’t surprised by the broad appeal, because we like to think that emergency kits always fit. PPB What sort of unique experience do Pinch Provisions kits provide to end users?
