NEW MEMBER SPOTLIGHT How did your company get its start? I first got the idea for VersaBands in 2007 when I created a concept product called the Memo Note Holder, which was designed to attach to flat-screen LCD monitors. In 2015, I began a relationship with Ad- Bands, the promotional products arm of Alliance Rubber Company. During that time, I invented and patented two specialty products. The combination of all those years of experience and a creative mind resulted in the creation of VersaBands, a company designed specifically to provide the best, most powerful and affordable branded advertising solutions to businesses looking to increase their brand name awareness over an extended period of time. What led your company to enter the promotional products market? VersaBands, right now, is a “one-man band”—pun intended. Financial resources over the past few years have been invested toward acquiring worldwide patents for VersaBands’ unique design, utility and long-term durability. VersaBands are made to withstand temperatures as low as negative 55 degrees Fahrenheit and highs of 560 degrees Fahrenheit, and the intense UV light of the Death Valley sun. We’ve accelerated wear testing so the VersaBands’ average lifespan is 10 years. There is also a patent on how VersaBands are imprinted. In addition to VersaBands’ ability to be created in any Pantone color, the customer logo can be added in up to four colors and is literally infused into the silicone of the VersaBands. When stretched, the ink never cracks. VersaBands have been soaked in concentrated bleach for months without losing their vibrancy. What’s your favorite thing about being in the promotional products industry? This industry has distributors with energy. They are on fire for new and exciting products, and eager to share them with their existing customers. Why did you join PPAI? PPAI is, by far, the leading force in the promotional products industry.
