by James Khattak Prime Line Sponsors CharityThanksgiving Project Prime Line, the hard goods division of alphabroder, sponsored Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s Great Thanksgiving Project for the third consecutive year in November. The initiative provides turkeys, bags of Thanksgiving dinner fixings and winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves to 3,200 low-income families in need in Fairfield County, Connecticut. David Bennett was one of Prime’s volunteers. He says, “I had a very good time and once again feel validated in joining the Prime family. It feels great to work in a place that routinely gives back to its community.” The University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business & Economics inducted Elizabeth and David Tate, chairman and CEO, and president, respectively, of Memphis, Tennessee, distributor Signet, Inc. to its Hall Of Fame and named them Distinguished Friends Of The College. In naming the Tates to its Hall of Fame, the school called out their meaningful dedication to the institution and its students. “While we gave time, talent and money,” the Tates say, “we were recognized among individuals who had sizable and notable careers and had donated big sums to the university. We stood out because we gave more than money. We also gave of ourselves, at least in their eyes.” Senior Leadership at American Solutions For Business Volunteers For Local UnitedWay In November, the senior leadership team at Glenwood, Minnesota-headquartered distributor American Solutions for Business volunteered at the local United Way in Alexandria. This effort is part of a company-wide campaign to raise money for United Way. ASB’s goal is to raise $10,000 overall. Distribution for the Thanksgiving project took place over six days, November 14-20, at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, where Prime is headquartered. Prime donated 5,000 tote bags and several employees were onsite helping in a variety of ways, including handing out food and helping guests shop for coats. The senior leadership of American Solutions for Business packed boxes of food for children and families in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. The following day, a team from American delivered the boxes to the local elementary school, where they were distributed.
