It all started with an idea. Co-founders Josh Williams and Eric Prum launched our first product—the Mason Shaker—in 2012, and since then, we’ve been dreaming up, designing and manufacturing fresh ways to (literally and figuratively) shake up everyday encounters with food and drink. Today, we produce more than 250 products for the kitchen, bar, bookshelf and beyond. Our Brooklyn-based team boasts hands-on experience in such diverse disciplines as design, manufacturing, culinary arts and publishing—and we’re always pushing to learn and do more. Our designs have received numerous awards and are regularly featured in such publications as The New York Times , Vogue , GQ and Bon Appétit . What led your company to enter the promotional products market? We started offering customization services on bulk orders of our products—from packaging to engraving, stitching and more. Our best-selling item, the Carry-On-Cocktail Kit [see page 52], had received a significant amount of customization requests for advertising and promotional gifts which inevitably catapulted us into the industry. What’s your favorite thing about being in the promotional products industry? As a design-focused company, we are excited to be able to customize our products to fit the needs of other companies. Why did you join PPAI? Since PPAI is the trusted leader in the promotional products industry, it was a no brainer that in order to succeed and grow, we needed to join and network with its extensive group of partners.
