GCPPA Gives Back In South Florida Members of the Gold Coast Promotional Products Association (GCPPA) contributed good will to their community in July by volunteering their time at Feeding South Florida. While at Vault Promotions, Tucker (above right) spoke with Vault co-owner Josh Robbins (above left, with co-owner Andy Logan) about the business and how it has established itself in the promotional products market. PPAI’s Tucker Visits Supplier Vault Promotions Ellen Tucker, PPAI’s director of business development, recently visited supplier Vault Promotions (PPAI 547406) in Henderson, Tennessee, where she met the company’s leadership and staff and learned more about its facility and operations. PPAI Staff Host Video Education SessionWith RMRPPA PPAI Director of Marketing Keith Vincent and PPAI Videographer Joel Zoch traveled to Denver, Colorado, in July to present a workshop on video production and why it is important to industry businesses. The workshop was hosted by the Rocky Mountain Region Promotional Products Association (RMRPPA) and held at the West Metro Fire Rescue Training and Event Center in Lakewood. Vincent and Zoch’s presentation highlighted why companies should consider video as a key part of their marketing mix. They presented research showing that 65 percent of executives say they visit a vendor’s website after watching a video, and that audiences retain 90 percent of a message delivered in a video format—in contrast, they retain 10 percent of what they read. The workshop transitioned into techniques and tools that can be used to enhance video production, and a hands-on opportunity for participants to create and show a video of their own. Feeding South Florida is the sole Feeding America food bank serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties, and it is the largest and most efficient food bank in each of the counties it serves, with more than 98 percent of all donations going back into the community. The GCPPA team helped sort and relocate 5,325 pounds of food at Feeding South Florida, creating 4,438 meals for families in need. 112 | SEPTEMBER 2018 | CONNECT
