PPAIWelcomes Kathlene Brethowr To ItsMember Engagement Team Kathlene Brethowr has joined PPAI as volunteer programs coordinator in the Member Engagement and Regional Relations department. She brings a strong background in association management and event coordination to her new role. PPB recently sat down with Brethowr to learn more about the newest member of the Association’s team. Reach her at KathleneB@ppai.org and 972‑258‑3069. PPB: What was your professional background before joining PPAI? Kathlene Brethowr: Previously, I worked for an association management company, MOJ Consulting LLC. At MOJC, I was an account manager for multiple associations within the Dallas‑ Fort Worth area. My responsibilities included events, board and governance, membership and technology management. PPB: What attracted you to your new position within the Association? Brethowr: The thing that was most attractive to me about PPAI is the amount of support the Association provides as far as professional development, support in the respective role and even personal development. The fact that so many employees have been here for a large part of their careers reflects well on the Association’s values, and that was something I wanted to be part of. PPB: What are your initial objectives for the position? Brethowr: My initial objectives as volunteer programs coordinator are to provide support to all committees and find new ways to keep our volunteers engaged and wanting to serve. PPB: Outside of PPAI, what are your interests? Brethowr: I am a member of USAW (USA Weightlifting) and enjoy working out with my husband and friends. Another interest of mine is food! I love trying new restaurants and the cuisine of other cultures. Promotional Products Work! Week Arrives Next MonthWith APOP! When Promotional Products Work! Week (PPW!
