The Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY) announced the winners of its annual awards during its holiday party in December at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, New York. SAAGNY Announces Industry AwardWinners BPMA Chair Speaks On Key Issues, Presents Awards At the British Promotional Merchandise Association’s (BPMA) Christmas lunch, leadership and members discussed end-user awareness and education initiatives, and recognized the industry accomplishments of several members. SAAGNY recognized companies receiving the Supplier and Distributor of the Year and the Supplier and Distributor Technology awards, and the recipients of the John J. Pagano Multiline Representative of the Year Award, Customer Service Representative of the Year Award, Supplier Representative of the Year Award, Humanitarian of the Year Award, the Past President Scholarship, and the Rising Star Award. The regional association also presented the Diamond Awards for Internal Promotion and Goodwill/Non- Profit/Fundraising and inducted Jonathan Riegel, MAS, (far right) into the SAAGNY Hall of Fame. At the BPMA annual Christmas Lunch, Chairman Graeme Smith spoke on the state of the promotional products industry in the UK and the association’s research and education programs. The BPMA’s Richard Dyson Award, sponsored by the Briman group, recognizes a distributor’s work to promote UK manufacturers, and this year it went to Jamie Marshall from Premier Print & Promotions. Trevor Howard (center), sales manager at Premier Print & Promotions, accepted the award from BPMA Director General Gordon Glenister (left) on Marshall’s behalf. Matt Franks (left), CEO of Fluid Branding and a past chair, president and director of BPMA, was presented with the Sword of Honor Award, which celebrates individuals who have given a considerable amount of time in support of the association.
