We started HYLETE in 2012 with a goal to build a fitness brand with a direct connection to its customers. We made this goal a reality by creating the best cross- training shorts on the market, and selling them directly to the consumer and bypassing traditional retail. After seeing success with our shorts, we continued to put the same attention to detail, fabrics, trims, features, fit, etc. into many other products—backpacks, jackets, pants, shirts, hoodies and, new this year, even shoes. What led your company to enter the promotional products market? The promotional products market found us. As HYLETE grew and more people became aware of us and our products, we began to be contacted by organizations wanting to use our products for employee uniforms, customer appreciation gifts and even for resale with their logos embroidered or printed on our apparel and bags. We repeatedly heard comments such as, “HYLETE is a breath of fresh air amidst all the traditional brands in the market.” After a few years of organic growth in this market, we decided to jump in and join PPAI to share HYLETE with the entire promotional products market. What’s your favorite thing about being in the promotional products industry? We recognize that regardless of the industry, people are passionate about the brands they’ve built. They understand the apparel they use for their own branding is an extension and reflection of their own brand. So, it’s a major compliment when they choose HYLETE products for their own branding. We love providing people and organizations with apparel and backpacks they can be proud to add their logo to. And, personally, it’s always fun coming across our products in airports and other locations. Why did you join PPAI? We recognize PPAI as the leader in the promotional products market and couldn’t ask for a better partner to assist us in sharing HYLETE products with the industry.
