PPEF Holds Annual Meeting, Announces 2018 Executive Committee PPAI hosted a visit from the Promotional Products Education Foundation’s (PPEF) executive committee at its Irving, Texas, headquarters in October. Members of PPEF’s 2017 and newly elected 2018 executive committees met to develop plans and a budget for 2018 as well as engage in long-term strategic planning on the direction of PPEF. The final plans from the two-day session will be submitted to the PPEF Board of Trustees for approval. PPEF’s 2018 executive committee will take office after the PPEF meeting at The PPAI Expo 2018 in January. Its members are: Wayne Greenberg, MAS, chair; Lori Bauer, immediate past chair; Brian Porter, chair elect; Drew Davis, vice chair – strategic planning & budget; Dana Floyd Porter, vice chair – fundraising; David Grobisen, vice chair – marketing & recognition; Stephanie Preston, vice chair – scholarship; Paul Bellantone, CAE, secretary/treasurer. HandStands Promo Donation Encourages School Pride Salt Lake City, Utah-based supplier HandStands Promo, LLC donated custom- printed mouse pads featuring the school mascot to all faculty members at Old Mill Elementary, a new school in the area. Jason Fogg, HandStands Promo LLC executive vice president, explains, “Here at HandStands, we like to highlight our organizational core values, one of which is Purpose. We encourage our employees to have purpose not only in their daily work, but outside as well. The Kids In Need Foundation, which held its annual gala fundraiser at the U.S. Bank Stadium inMinneapolis, Minnesota, in September, made the event morememorable with gift bags for corporate executives, donors and teachers in attendance. Union, Illinois-based supplier BAGMAKERS, Inc. donated and decorated the tote bags that were later filled with donated school supplies. PPAI has supported Kids In Need since 2008 by giving its personnel access to samples and promotional products donated by generous exhibitors following The PPAI Expo each January. The products are funneled to teachers at underprivileged schools across the U.S. and used as incentives, prizes and rewards.
