PPAI And Regional Association Leaders Convene At 2017 LDW More than 150 volunteer leaders from the PPAI board and committees and the industry’s 27 regional associations gathered in Grapevine, Texas, in October for the 18th annual Leadership Development Workshop (LDW), hosted by PPAI and the Regional Association Council (RAC). The four-day event began with a PPAI board meeting and was followed by a full day of training for PPAI committee and advisory group chairs, plus two days of seminars, panel discussions and networking for regional association leaders. During the week, the 2017 PPAI RAC Volunteer of the Year awards were presented, and PPAI hosted the final night open house at its nearby headquarters with a casual dinner, live music and guided tours of the building. On the final night, LDW attendees toured PPAI headquarters, learning about programs and services available to them, then selected their dinner from four food trucks serving barbecue, pizza and more. Representatives from 27 regional associations attended LDW.
