How did your company get its start?
Our company was started in 1983 by my dad to create jobs in our
high unemployment area. He started the company making one
sauce, our Gourmet Pepper Sauce, from his mother’s time-hon-
ored recipe. He is a farmer, and in the winters when there is no
work on the farm, his employees would go on unemployment. So
in an effort to help them and our community, he started this busi-
ness. Today the same philosophy still holds true.
What led your company to enter the promotional products
market?
We got into the promotional market about three years ago to help
create more jobs for our community.
What’s your favorite thing about being in the promotional
products industry?
I love all these different avenues of promoting hot sauce. The cre-
ative ideas are endless. Every company is the “hottest” or has a
“hot” deal. The play on words is really fun.
