Ross C. Castanga

, past pres-

ident of supplier

(UPIC: ANVIL289), passed away

November 10. He was 86.

A graduate of Brown

University and a U.S. Navy veter-

an, Castanga first entered the

promotional products business

in 1949 with Brown & Bigelow.

He later joined Rapid American,

and then with B.V.D. started the

screen print division. B.V.D.

Screenprint became Anvil

Knitwear in 1976, and Castanga

became its president in 1986.

He led the company until he

retired in 1998.

Castanga is survived by his

daughter, Robin Alvis, and son-

in-law Andy, and their two chil-

dren; his sister, Nancy Foertsch,

and his brother-in-law Henry;

and a number of nieces,

nephews, grand nieces and

grand nephews. He was preced-

ed in death by his wife, Leona,

and his brother, John.

A service for Castanga was

held November 15 at St.

Catherine’s Church in Pelham,

New York.

Rhonda Stefanski

, co-owner

of Cleveland, Ohio, distributor

House of Hedges, Inc.

(UPIC:

HOUS0002), passed away in

November. She was 57.

Alongside her work with

House of Hedges, Stefanski was

active in community and philan-

thropic causes, and the Marc A.

and Rhonda L. Stefanski

Foundation, which she and her

husband have managed for the

past 23 years.

Stefanski is survived by her

husband, Marc; her children,

Ashley (with husband Jamie

Williams), Kyle, Bradley,

Alexander and Melissa; her

father, Albert Hegyes; and a

number of nieces and nephews.

Services were held at

Cleveland’s St. Stanislaus

Church. In lieu of flowers, dona-

tions may be made to the fami-

ly’s foundation, with proceeds

going to pancreatic cancer

research, 7007 Broadway Ave.,

Cleveland, Ohio 44105.
