PPAI’s first show in the digital space attracted almost as many attendees as does The PPAI Expo that takes place annually in January in Las Vegas. The event lived up to PPAI’s promise to deliver the same quality and scope of event that members have come to expect at The PPAI Expo. When PPAI learned it could not hold The PPAI Expo in person in Las Vegas because of COVID-19 restrictions, staff and leadership went to work on a virtual event that would deliver as close to the same experience as possible. Working with its technology partner, SAGE, and long-time associate, Freeman, PPAI created and delivered a one- of-a-kind virtual show featuring education sessions sponsored by PPAI, SAGE and commonsku; live Q&A interviews; pop-up events; gamification; networking lounges; social events and a live master of ceremonies sharing highlights and updates throughout the four-day event. But four days wasn’t enough for most distributors who craved ongoing access to the exhibitors’ product introductions and videos, along with convenient links to all the resources available from exhibitors during PPAI Expo Direct-2-You.
