Community | PPPC Communiqué Gearing Up For NATCON 2023 MORE THAN 1,100 DISTRIBUTORS from over 400 companies are expected to attend the PPPC National Convention – better known as NATCON – September 11-13 in Toronto at the International Centre. PPPC hosts the event in partnership with PPAI and SAGE. The 65th annual NATCON will feature a two-day trade show with more than 300 booths featuring over 100 of Canada’s top suppliers showcasing their latest and greatest wares. This year’s theme is “Innovate. Connect. Succeed. Navigating the Future of Promotional Products.” On the second day of the show (September 13), distributors will be able to bring their clients for Client Day. It’s a great opportunity for suppliers to meet with a large number of distributors and their clients in one central place in a short time frame. NATCON is the ideal opportunity for members to connect and grow their networks and businesses, as well as take advantage of professional development opportunities. The PPPC team also has curated several sponsorship, advertising, branding and product placement opportunities to help exhibitors to stand out during the event. PPPC member Edward Hung, VP of sales and operations for supplier Promobilia (part of the St Regis Group), says last year’s NATCON was one of the single most important events in Canada for suppliers like him. Hung has attended NATCON for the past decade. “Having the opportunity to see so many clients in one place is highly beneficial,” he says, “along with the ability to make strong connections.” For distributor Alan Moscoe, CEO of TPS Promotions & Incentives, last year’s NATCON was a huge success. “We were particularly pleased to host over 60 clients at the show,” he says. “There’s simply no substitute for the value that comes from in-person interactions.” Along with the trade show, NATCON 2023 will also feature PPPC’s most anticipated annual social event – the 2023 PPPC Awards Ceremony and Networking After-Party. Held at the prestigious Royal Woodbine Golf Club’s Clubhouse and Vue venues, the awards ceremony will celebrate excellence in the industry and encourage members to wind down and network after a busy trade show.
