That love for people has spurred
Friedman to give back to the industry
by acting as a sales trainer and speaker,
presenting education sessions at industry
shows including The PPAI Expo. “I love
the feeling of having a room full of peo-
ple, and the energy they bring to me
that I end up giving back. The most
challenging aspect is there just isn’t
enough time in the day to do everything
pertaining to my job,” he says.
F ANYONE CAN PROVE
that big success is found
in small packages, it’s Danny Friedman. He entered the
promotional products industry with Northbrook,
Illinois, distributorship Added Incentives, Inc. (ADDE0001) in
1996 after working as a multi-line rep in the sporting goods
industry, and he jumped right into a sales-driven strategy that’s
allowed the seven-person staff to produce an annual sales vol-
ume that has it in the top five percent of distributors industry-
wide since Friedman’s arrival.
“We are all about service and doing the best job possible for our 600-plus
clients,” says Friedman of the company that grosses more than $2.5 million annually.
“As vice president of Added Incentives, I’m still primarily a salesperson but I do have
some administrative responsibilities as well.”
Friedman also manages the sales force that occupies two offices, which along
with selling helps put him front and center for the aspect of sales that he enjoys
